My client is a manufacturing company based in Dewsbury, and they are looking to add to their friendly team by recruiting an Office Administrator. The Office Administrator will report directly to the General Manager and the Managing Director, working with them on projects and initiatives, and providing an efficient administrative support to the Service Department.
As Office Administrator, you will be able to: -
- Use a variety of software packages (including Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint) to manage data and produce documents and presentations.
- Deal with telephone and email enquiries, using an email system (e.g. Outlook).
- Create and maintain filing and other office systems.
- Organise and store paperwork, documents and computer-based information.
- Co-ordinate all timesheets for the Service Department including remote engineers – this includes chasing records and reconciling them against jobs
- Co-ordination of the Managers' activities, including meetings, travel arrangements, diary management etc.
- Schedule and attend meetings, create agendas and take minutes - shorthand may be required
- Liaise with staff in other departments and with external contacts in an efficient and courteous manner.
- To provide cover for other team members when on annual leave.
Essential experience/skills for the role of Office Administrator are: -
- excellent organisational skills
- to be pro-active and be happy to help other departments as and when needed for the benefit of the company as a whole
- be proficient in Microsoft Office package
- to have excellent verbal/written skills
- have a confident and clear telephone manner
- to be experienced of setting-up and maintaining manual and electronic filing systems
- have excellent attention to detail.
- Diary Management and appointment booking using manual and computerised systems.
- Use of Sage
- A minimum of 2 years administrator experience.
Qualifications
- 5 GCSE’s A* - C including English and Maths
- RSA Stage II, Word Processing or NVQ 2 in Business Administration (or equivalent).
- RSA Stage 3 Word Processing or NVQ 3 in Business Administration.
