We are looking for an experienced Site Supervisor to join aspiring company based in Featherstone. This is an ideal role for a Site Supervisor highly organised and conscientious.
The role of the Site Supervisor involves :
Manage and be responsible for own workforce, plant, materials, suppliers and subcontractors
Assist with phasing, planning and programing of contracts
Manage on site QUENSH performance in line with company and customer policies
Completion of site files in line with company policy and QMS and ensure compliance
Responsible for on-site communications in relation to contracts you are responsible for i.e. customers, suppliers and sub- contractors
Assist with operations training and competency in line with company policy and QMS and ensure compliance
Support the company’s objectives in term of Health and Safety and Environmental
Manage, promote and enhance safe working in all activities of own workforce and suppliers/sub- contractors
Manage and improve the on Site Safe Systems of Work
Ensure that all site team are briefed on and understand the safe system of work for the tasks to be carried out and evidence of briefing is available ( i.e. rams / toolbox talks/ records).
Ensure that all works are carried out to the appropriate standards (e.g. MCDHW and other standard details)
Ensure that timesheets/ daily diary sheets and measure sheets for wages are completed and are submitted to the Senior Supervisor in a timely manner to enable weekly payment of wages
Support and carry out programming with other staff to ensure the best efficiencies for the business
Identify training needs of the workforce and liaise with QUENSH staff to ensure that training is books and carried out
Ensure compliance with all the company’s agreed processes and systems
Ensure any site changes to the brief/specification are recorded and raised in good time
The Site Supervisor position will suit a person with skills:
Experience in working on Civil/Construction projects in a similar role, ideally Highways. RC Structures/ bridges related. Would be advantageous but not essential
Excellent knowledge of construction techniques, current regulations and standards, contractual issues and opportunities
Good understanding of contract information including drawings, contract documents and orders
Management skills in programming, planning, resourcing and compiling cost
Able to work under pressure, be confident and resourceful
Qualifications Required :
CSCS Supervisor/Managers Card
SSSTS ( An advantage but not necessary)
NVQ Level 3 Supervisor ( An advantage but not necessary)
PTS ( An advantage but not necessary)
First Aid at work.
